Description
Rohu is treated as a delicacy in Bangladesh, Nepal and the Indian conditions of Bihar, Odisha, Assam, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. The Maithil Brahmins and the Kayastha people group of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh regards it as one of their most holy nourishments: to be eaten on every single propitious event. Rohu is regular food in Pakistan and is normally eaten southern style, or in a sauce with flavors.
