Lady Fish / Kaane

Description

Lady fish are lengthened, thin fish with a minimized oval cross area and huge profoundly forked tail or caudal blade with long, slim even projections. The little head is pointed and both the mouth and eyes are very huge. The scales are little and meager. The teeth are extremely little however very sharp.

Kaane is a fish found in tropical backwaters. It is additionally called as Noguli in Konkani and Lady Fish in English. It is a delicacy in western shore of Karnataka.
